(Numeric) Continuous Range:
-99.99 to +99.99 dB This function is used to account for
attenuator(s) or amplifier(s) inserted at the

levels to the input range of the instrument.
The value for offset correction factor is
always entered in dB but is correctly applied
to the signal level for all measurement units.
The offset entered in this function will also
correct the internal trigger level value.
To display the un-attenuated signal power,

of the data entry controls to input the known
value of the offset attenuator.
If the exact value of the attenuator is
unknown, determine the value by connecting
the sensor with the attenuator to the calibrator
output and following these steps:
1. Use Cal > Cal Mode t
See Section 4-16.
2. Set the calibrator output to +20 dBm
using the Calibrator > Set Level menu
key and the keypad.
3. On the top level menu set Measure Mode
4. to Modulated.
5. Set Chan # > Extensions >Units to dBm.
6. Select Chan # > Extensions >
Corrections > dB Offset and use the spin
knob to adjust the dB Offset parameter Figure 4-15
until the Avg Pwr reads 20.00 dBm. The Chan # > Corrections
exact value of the attenuator is indicated
by the dB Offset parameter.
